10 Things DC Wants You To Forget About The Flash

7. The Existence Of Bizarro-Flash

Bizarro am bad character depending on what artist isn€™t writing him. The backwards speaking, opposite figure to Superman who€™s either a failed clone of the Man Of Steel or one of many inhabitants of an entirely backwards cuboid planet, depending on the continuity, is actually a cool character when somebody actually understands him. Having a craggy-faced, cracked mirror image of Superman who wears a dark, ill-fitting set of tights and destroys everything instead of saving people is a fun, silly Silver Age idea. It€™s not one that really expands to other DC superheroes, except as a really disappointingly hacky, half-arsed device. So of course there€™s been loads of other Bizarros! Created when the original Bizarro attempted to clone The Flash, Bizarro-Flash originally had a mallet symbol, but that€™s since been replaced by a thunderbolt-shaped mustard stain. He€™s a clumsy oaf who moves really slowly. The fattest man alive. The opposite of The Flash, see? Providing grist for exactly zero interesting milled stories, he€™s long since been confined to the rubbish heap.
