10 Things DC Wants You To Forget About Wonder Woman

10. She Shouldn'€™t Be Superman'€™s Girlfriend

Superman Wonder Woman
DC Comics

Among the many big changes made to the Man Of Steel following DC€™s New 52 universe reboot - besides finally riding him of those little red pants he wore over his tights - was the wholesale desertion of Lois Lane as a viable romantic interest for Superman. That€™'s despite the whole concept of the New 52 being to appeal to new readers, and the entire history of Clark Kent (in every medium, not just comics) seeing him paired with his fellow Daily Planet reporter.

Well, at least they were when Lana Lang wasn'€™t in the mix, or when Lois hadn'€™t been possessed by Parasite and demanded a divorce. Perhaps shaking things up a little was necessary, and sticking with the inevitable romance between Clark and Lois a little tired; but still, does it make any more sense to match him up with Wonder Woman?

Especially when it€™'s mostly been at Diana€™'s expense? Not only has this new couple sort of diminished Wonder Woman'€™s part in the New 52, but it doesn€™'t make a whole lot of sense. Diana has killed, and will kill again - she'€™s a warrior. She had a brief thing with Batman in an old JLA run, with their world-views squaring up better.

Still, doesn'€™t look like this new power couple is breaking up any time soon...
