Comic book characters are bizarre as a general rule and most heroes have a few weird villains in their rogues gallery; Batman has Condiment King, Superman has Mister Mxyzptlk, Spider-Man has Big Wheel and Iron Man has Mr. Doll, just as a few examples. Ant-Man is no different - and in fact outdoes most heroes in terms of the weirdness of his list of antagonists. Take the Living Eraser for example - he uses a device known as the Dimensionizer which transports people to other dimensions (primarily between Earth and his own Dimension Z). As the device moves over its target surface, it turns it invisible, which makes it appear as if the victim is being erased. Other Ant-Man villains included the Scarlet Beetle (an actual mutated beetle), Pilai (a blob-like alien), Elihas Starr (a man with an egg-shaped head, known rather unimaginatively as "Egghead"), Gogo (a man who could simply make things out of plastic) and the Beasts of Berlin (gorillas with enhanced intelligence).
