10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About Bane
1. He's Always A Villain
The beauty of Bane existing for so long is that, as of today, there has been ample time for creators to show his less evil side. While Bane does have undeniably morally void motivations - namely, to defeat and destroy anyone who gets in his way or is more powerful than him - he also isn't inherently evil at his core.
Indeed, in the Secret Six, Bane is pretty much one of the most likable of the cast. It's repeatedly shown to us that Bane is the member of the team most concerned with the other members, and with keeping everyone alive, sane, and as happy as a team of unruly supervillains can conceivably be.
Even in the regular Batman comics we see Bane's kinder side peak through, especially when it is revealed that, in Santa Prisca, Bane is considered a hero of sorts due to his successful take down of large portions of the local drug cartels. Being a villain doesn't mean you always have to be a bad guy, it'd seem.
