10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About The Avengers

2. As Is Spider-Man

Wasp Avengers Founder

There is no question that Peter Parker has been hanging around the Avengers for a very long time now. There have been multiple team-ups staring the Web-Head, either in his books or their's, so it's easy to think that he must be a card-carrying member. But yet again, nope.

Spider-Man doesn't officially join until 2005, in the New Avengers. This takes place after Scarlet Witch loses her mind and wipes out most of the current crop, thus seeing the squad disband. But you can't keep a good group down and, like so many Ozzy Osbourne tours, they start back up again as soon as they can.

Thanks to Electro some serious trouble is brewing at The Raft, and when all the power goes out in New York, Spidey hitches a ride over to see what's what. On arriving he finds Captain America already there and it soon become obvious to all involved, there's a jailbreak going on.

This sees a bunch of heroes thrown together to keep the villains at bay, and in the aftermath Spidey, along with the others, become the newest version of the team.
