8. He’s A Bit Of A Ladies Man
Dick Grayson has several flirtations and brief encounters, including Huntress, Bette Kane, and Bridget Clancy among others, but only two true loves in his life so far. His first and current love is Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, aka Oracle. Dick fell in love with Barbara almost from the moment they met - as shown in Robin Year One #1 - but they spent years developing a strong friendship and crime-fighting working relationship.
After years apart, Dick showed up badly wounded at Oracle's door in Nightwing #38. She dressed his wounds and they renewed their relationship. Dick proposed to Barbara in issue #117 and she accepted, but the engagement was put on hold in the 2007 annual when Dick had to go on a journey of self-discovery. In current issues of Tom Taylor’s Nightwing, Dick and Barbara are dating, spending evenings at each other's apartments, and sharing custody of the adorable three-legged dog Haley, aka Bitewing.
Grayson’s other major love has been Princess Koriand'r, better known as Starfire. The young Tamaran princess learned how to speak English through a passionate kiss with the young Robin, and this began a romance that would last for years. The uninhabited alien would help the young hero loosen up, and Dick taught Kori how to behave among human beings. They were nearly married but a Trigon-possessed Raven ruined their marriage and soured their relationship for years.
