10 Things Marvel Wants You To Forget About Black Widow

6. She Was A Failed Fashion Designer

When Natasha decided to turn over a new leaf as a hero, she began fighting crime in New York City. The character became a favourite of the writer Gerry Conway and so he decided to bring her into the Daredevil series he was writing.

Daredevil and Black Widow began partnering up to fight crime together and this eventually lead to the two of them starting a romantic relationship. They then decided to move to San Francisco to start a new life together.

As part of this fresh start, Natasha needed a new civilian identity and a new job to go with it. After a Hulk level leap of logic, this resulted in the merciless assassin Black Widow deciding she was going to become a fashion designer.

Thankfully, this idea didn't last long and her career failed to take off (probably because there isn't a huge market for a line of identical black leotards). The stress of this, combined with the fact that Natasha felt she was becoming Daredevil's sidekick, caused Natasha to eventually break up with Matt and she went back to fighting crime by herself.

She remained friends with Daredevil though and would frequently help him on adventures. Other times she was needlessly cruel to him.

I was just a mild-mannered NCTJ accredited journalist until one day I found out the truth... that I could share my nerdy ramblings with people on the internet! It's just like mumbling to myself on the train, but without all the strange looks.
