4. She Was Taken Out By Ricochet
In Black Widow's earliest appearances, she was a spy working for the KGB. This meant she was often pitted against Iron Man in her attempts to undermine the US.
Since guns and karate aren't super useful against a guy in flying suit of armour with lasers, she decided she needed a partner to help her.
At that time, Hawkeye was on the run for a crime he didn't commit. He met Black Widow and immediately fell in love with her, something she used to manipulate him into helping her fight Iron Man. As it turned out though, she would have been better off not bothering.
The pair both attacked Tony Stark, only for the battle to end with Hawkeye accidentally ricocheting an arrow off Iron Man's chestplate and into Black Widow's face. Then he ran away to take her to the hospital.
From her big plan to take down Iron Man being "have my boyfriend shoot arrows at him" to the fact that the world's most accomplished assassin can't avoid getting accidentally beaned in the head, it's a series of events that makes Black Widow look kind of incompetent.
It also doesn't reflect great on the planet's supposedly top marksman.
