10 Things We Learned From Marvel’s “All-New, All-Different” Relaunch
4. All-New Cap And Thor Are Here To Stay
In the months prior to Secret Wars, two of Marvel's most recognizable characters -- Captain America and Thor -- underwent major changes. With Steve Rogers aged and the Odinson deemed unworthy of Mjolnir, their super identities were passed to Sam Wilson and Jane Foster, respectively.
The move represented a step in the right direction regarding diversity in superhero titles, but there were many who feared that it was only temporary, and come the rebirth of the Marvel Universe, the comics would resemble Marvel's films once more. Thankfully, that has proven to be untrue -- Sam Wilson and Jane Foster are still in their new costumes, and both will be a part of Mark Waid's "All-New, All-Different Avengers" as two-thirds of the trinity that has carried that title for more than five decades.
As for solo adventures, Rick Remender is leaving "Sam Wilson: Captain America" in the able hands of Nick Spencer, while Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman will continue to tell Foster's stories in "The Mighty Thor."
