Far from "merely" being Wakanda's head of state and a key member of the Avengers team, Black Panther has also had a number of other roles in different teams, organisations and places. For examples, in the absence of Reed Richards, he became the temporary leader of the Fantastic Four (an incarnation of the team which also included his wife, Storm, in Sue Storm's absence). He has also been a member of the superhero teams known as the Defenders and the Fantastic Force. Morever, he is also a key member of the Illuminati - an elite and secret group of powerful Marvel characters who joined forces to predict and stop universal threats before they actually happen. As already mentioned, he has also been the protector of the Hell's Kitchen area of New York in the absence of Daredevil.
