An egocentric narcissist with a weakness for both women and booze and equal measure - the unlikely recipient of god-like powers, especially given their reckless professional career. Tony Stark and Hal Jordan have a lot in common, despite all their surface-level differences: ones Marvel, the others DC; ones all science, the other is powered by cosmic magic. Clearly their respective publishers noticed the base similarities, however, and chose to combine the two in the aftermath of the landmark Marvel Vs DC crossover miniseries. That climax involved a reality-warping kid called Access fusing together the two universes, resulting in a few months of Amalgam Comics. Along with a Wolverine/Batman hybrid and Spider-Man for some reason being combined with Superboy, there was Iron Lantern - the Hal/Tony fusion. Amongst his supporting cast was Madame Sapphire (Star Sapphire/Madame Masque/Pepper Potts), Stewart Rhodes (John Stewart/Jim Rhodes) and the far more unwieldy-monikered villain Mandarinestro.
