10 Things You Didn't Know About Magneto

2. He Has A Clone

X-Men Magneto Clone Joseph
Marvel Comics

In one of his many heel-face turns, Magneto showed up in the 1980s, apparently several decades younger and with an entirely new, pro-human attitude to life. Joining the X-Men, out of guilt for his previous actions, Magneto changed his name to Joseph and once again started to date teammate Rogue. A few months later, the real Magneto returned, and all hell broke loose. Joseph was exposed as a clone of Magneto created by Astra, the supercomputer that ran Asteroid M, Magneto's floating base.

Having created Joseph as a means of getting revenge on Magneto, Astra was able to instigate a war between the pair. Their battle concluded, Joseph sacrificed himself to restore the damage that Magneto's powers had caused to the Earth's magnetic fields. Joseph was recently ressurected by the super computer, together with the entire original Brotherhood of Evil. Although Magneto destroyed most of the clones, Joseph was taken prisoner and last seen imprisoned in the Brig of Utopia. With the island's destruction in Avengers vs X-Men, the clone's whereabouts are currently unknown.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
