A Spider-Man musical ran on Broadway from June the 14th in 2011 until January the 4th in 2014. It was called Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, it was musical which featured music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, with arrangements and orchestration by David Campbell, and a book by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. In the show, the Green Goblin creates the Sinister Six (though he isn't a part of it himself, he simply recruits and directs them) and this version consists of Electro, Carnage, Swarm, Kraven the Hunter, Lizard and an original character who was created just for the show called Swiss Miss. Essentially, the show's story sees Spider-Man finding his inner-hero and defeating them, after realising he is good enough for Mary Jane Watson.
