10 Things You (Probably) Didn’t Know About Spider-Man

4. Does Whatever A Spider Can

It’s well known that Spider-Man is incredibly agile, can climb nearly every surface, has a near precognitive “Spider-Sense” and swings via webs of his own design through the city. But there a quite a few additional powers that were imbued by that fateful spider bite that helped the Web-head become one of the most popular heroes of his generation.

While nowhere near that of the Hulk or the Thing, Peter has incredible super-strength, making him easily the most powerful of the “street-level” heroes. The exact number of his strength changes editorially, but the peak was 20 tons after being “reborn” following his spider transformation. Regardless, he is able to lift a big rig semi-truck, and he has to pull his punches in battle lest he kills his opponents with a single blow.

Spidey’s reflexes are 40 times that of an ordinary human being. They are so keen that he could dodge gunfire if he was at a significant distance, and his equilibrium allows him to balance himself in any direction and on any object, no matter how small. While it is by no means as strong as Wolverine’s, Spider-Man has a healing factor that allowed him to recover from injuries far faster than normal humans.
