10 Times Doctor Strange Outsmarted Everyone

After Doctor Doom became an almost all-powerful God at the end of Time Runs Out, the significantly less powerful Sorcerer Supreme was left with little choice but to become his right-hand man. This said, that doesn't mean Strange totally stopped working for the actual heroic side, which is evident when it's revealed in issue #3 of Secret Wars that he had been hiding a spaceship full of superheroes in his section of the world.

While it appears that Strange was unaware the ship contained his allies, it's clear he knew that the vessel was something that Doom would want destroyed - and thus he kept it hidden, sure it would prove useful down the line.

Had Strange not wanted this single one-up over the God Emperor, a good portion of Marvel's hero roster would have been wiped out permanently, making this inadvertently the most important moment in the entire series.

Hiding a huge spaceship from the man who makes people into the Sun as punishment is a risky game - but one that the Good Doctor takes on gladly, and that sees everyone get the ending they deserve at the end of the series.
