10 Times Justice League Ruined Batman's Life

6. Flash Erased Him From Existence

When Barry Allen was a child, his mother was murdered by the Reverse-Flash. When Barry obtained the powers of the Speed Force and became the Flash, he dreamed of running faster than light so he could go back in time to stop his mother from being killed.

When he eventually did this, his actions created a butterfly effect that altered history for the worse, turning the world into a cataclysmic warzone. Aquaman and Wonder Woman were warlords. Superman didn't exist. Barry Allen had no superpowers.

When he learned that Batman still existed in this altered timeline, Barry went to the Batcave to look for Bruce Wayne. When he was confronted by Batman, Barry learned that Bruce Wayne had been dead for years. In this timeline, Bruce was gunned down as a child, not his parents. Bruce's father, Thomas Wayne, became Batman and declared war on all crime.

When Barry explained to Thomas Wayne that he indirectly created this timeline, Thomas agreed to help him, knowing that bringing back the old universe was the only way for Bruce to live. When Barry succeeded in fixing the timeline and bringing Bruce back to life, he had to accept his mother's death once more.
