10 Times Marvel Went Too Far

7. X-Force: Sex And Violence

Rogue Ultimatum
Marvel Comics

I am many things, but a prude is not one of them. There is nothing wrong with a little sexy every now and then (superheroes are inherently just that), but when forced, it can come off as ever-so-slightly cringe-inducing.

X-Force Sex And Violence, in that regard, is about as vacuous as the void of space.

Domino, having managed to piss off The Hand, The Assassin's Guild, and pretty much every other organization that knows her, has to go on the run with Wolverine. Unsurprisingly, one does not simply outrun enemies like that, and a whole lot of gore and sex ensues.

The plot is insipid, the title incredibly lowbrow, the gore - while fun if you're a hardcore gore hound - doesn't have much going for it that a much better series couldn't top, and the art makes any attempt at titillation fall flat on its face.

A whole series dedicated to sex and violence, and it fails at both.
