10 Times The Joker Was Genuinely Hilarious

2. John Doe Plays With The Bat-Signal - Batman: The Enemy Within

The Batman: Telltale Series video games make an enormous effort to humanise the Joker. When he's introduced as John Doe, he is depicted as an unstable introvert who is drawn to chaos but he has yet to fulfil his role as a supervillain. For most of the story, he sees Bruce Wayne as his best friend and does everything in his power to appease him.

Due to his social ineptitude, there are times when John does something so inappropriate, you can't help but laugh. Whether it's when he demands a pinky swear from Bruce or poses for a selfie during a funeral, his actions are both awkward and hilarious. The scene where he asks Bruce to impersonate Harley Quinn is priceless.

The funniest moment is when John waits by the Bat-Signal to speak to Batman. He gets so bored, he creates a shadow puppet scene using the signal's light.

If you don't interact with John, you can watch him acting out an argument where Jim Gordon complains to Batman that he's been ordered to shave off his moustache. Hilarious moments like this make the story more heartbreaking when John embraces his Joker persona, because the player genuinely found the character funny.
