10 Times Villains Stole Superheroes’ Powers

2. Doctor Doom Steals Daredevil's Powers (and Body) - Daredevil #37

Never one to settle for half-measures, Doctor Doom decides that the easiest way to deal with the Man Without Fear is to create a Body Transferral Ray, trap Daredevil in it, and then swap bodies with him - allowing Doom access to the hero's powers.

Interestingly, literally none of the plot after this goes how you would expect it to, as Doom completely fails to recognise that the body he's in is actually blind. Instead, he seems to believe that the suit has some sort of eye filter that prevents perfect vision, ostensibly to improve Daredevil's 'sense powers' - meaning any chance of Doom being able to uncover Murdock's true identity is safely ruined.

Just as Doom's time as Daredevil is ruined when the hero places Latveria at war with several countries, forcing Doom to come out of hiding and swap bodies back, in order to make sure his precious nation isn't torn apart. Had he not cared, though, Daredevil could have been responsible for countless death and turmoil - so it's perhaps not his most heroic gambit of all time.
