9. Steve Trevor (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fENrvy0jmCA For those who haven't heard of him, and you definitely should have, Steve Trevor is Wonder Woman's longtime paramour. In Wonder Woman's origin story it was Trevor whose plane crashed on the secret island of Themyscira, her home, and caused her to venture out into the real world. Although an American military hero, Trevor would often play the stereotypical 'female role' in the relationship, as he would constantly find himself in jeopardy or have his attempts to discover Wonder Woman's secret identity foiled. In the final issue of the original Wonder Woman run of comics, the two married. In The Flashpoint Paradox, she brutally hangs him. An adaptation of the Flashpoint event that birthed the New 52 era of DC comics, the animated movie is a shade more violent than the typical DC Warner Bros fare. After Flash goes back in time to save his mother's life, it gives rise to an alternative timeline, when Wonder Woman and her Amazon have conquered the UK. In the film, this reality's version Steve Trevor is on the run from a troop of Amazonian soldiers, trying extract Lois Lane, when he is caught around the neck by Diana's lasso. She rises of the ground, hanging him until dead. Now that's quite the lover's tiff.
