10 Totally Unrealistic Relationships‏ In Comics History

6. Mr Fantastic And Invisible Woman

Reed Richards and Sue Storm are the prototypical Marvel couple in a lot of ways: the core of the Fantastic Four family, they bonded long before they gained their super powers and that has since lead into a relationship, marriage, and two beautiful children who have the ability to re-write reality and control any form of energy. Which is impressive when you consider the amount of crap Sue has to put with from her "beloved" husband. For one thing, it was his reckless experiment that blighted them all with powers in the first place (they could just as easily have died, yet he had no qualms putting her life in danger). They don't seem to have much in common, or at least, he never thinks she's smart enough to understand any of the science-y things he's doing. In the early days of the FF he barely considered her part of the team, despite the fact her powers were a lot more impressive than hers, and often left her behind on missions to get cracking on the ironing (sadly not a joke). He's gotten a little more progressive since then, but not by much. He still spends most of his time messing about with unstable particles and the Negative Zone, leaving Sue to raise Franklin and Valeria, and to break up the many, many squabbles Ben and Johnny. We'll get back to those two in a little while, though.
