10 Unbelievable Comic Book Cameos Nobody Saw Coming

2. Obama In Suicide Squad: Rebirth

Of the types of people likely to cameo in a comic, presidents are the most common - as a helpful way to show to time period said comic takes place more than anything else. Indeed, Obama has featured in enough comics to make Stan Lee feel threatened, appearing in the pages of Captain America, Spider-Man and even Godzilla to name but a few.

Hell, the man is even the star of two separate comics, titled solely with his name - and yet they are both overshadowed in weirdness by his brief appearance in the opening pages of Suicide Squad: Rebirth.

This is because there is something entirely uncanny about him even appearing in the comic. It's unclear if this is because the writers seem to have carefully avoided outright referring to the president by his name, or more due to the implication that Obama is actively letting folks like Harley Quinn and Killer Croc rip people to pieces, but it's apparent either way.

That said, seeing Obama put some brutal verbal takedowns on Amanda Waller is pretty good, which might explain why the man has been in so many comics.
