Megan Gwynn is a Welsh mutant okay! There are like no Welsh superheroes okay! Let us have one!

Seriously though, Pixie is a great character. Looking visually non-threatening and with a fun and laid back attitude, Pixie has actually been through the ringer, just like many of her generation of new mutant students. But her battles have left her battle ready, and have even seen her already become a fully fledged member of the X-Men before.

She also has an interesting family backstory that plays on the surprisingly common links between mutants and magic, with her mother being a literal fairy and her father the villainous mutant Mastermind (giving her two half sisters who are just as villainous).

There’s so much potential for some fun melodrama, which has always been a popular element of the X-Men stories.
