10 Untouchable Comics Heroes (Who Shockingly Died)

Wolverine has died quite a few times in the long and VERY complicated history of the X-Men, but this was the first time that it really did seem to stick for good (X-23 even taking up the mantle in his place and being a breakout hit) so we're including the most recent example.

In the storyline called The Death Of Wolverine, Logan ends up losing his famed healing factor which has kept him alive for so long and through so much. Upon hearing that the famous Wolverine can finally be killed, literally every enemy he has ever had comes out of the woodwork to come have a go.

This goes well for exactly none of them.

But of course, this story isn't called The DEATH Of Wolverine for nothing, so Wolverine is eventually run down. But not before stopping pretty much all of his enemies so he can die with a smile. And die he does, coated in liquid adamantium which hardens around him, suffocating him to death.

Like all the best Wolverine stories, it was a somber, brutal tale that led to easily one of the better examples on this list.
