The Magic Order is a comic book series written by Mark Millar with illustrations by Oliver Coipel. It is being developed by Netflix with James Wan and Lindsey Beer attached as executive producers. Beer has also been tapped as the series' showrunner with Wan taking the helm as the pilot's director.

The comic book is centered around the Magic Order, which is a group of five families of magicians who keep the world safe from various supernatural threats. Everything works as planned until members of the Magic Order are targeted one after the other.

Whatever external threat is targeting the magicians could bring about doom for everyone and everything, but it's unclear who is to blame. Meanwhile, the Magic Order works and lives with the rest of society, but when nobody is watching, they head to work as magicians who must keep the world safe from evil.

It's an interesting premise, and given Millar's success in seeing his work translated onto film, it's likely The Magic Order will be a hit for Netflix and Millarworld, the writer's comic book company Millar sold to Netflix back in 2017.
