Back in the 1990s, a number of independent comic book publishers arose, which dared to take on the giants of DC and Marvel. One such company was Valiant, which built up a stockpile of characters by using several created back in the Golden Age.

This included Dr. Solar, Turok: Son of Stone, Magnus the Robot Fighter, and many more. The company also created a number of unique characters who made it into its library. Sadly, Valiant fizzled out when it was purchased by Acclaim, but it's seen a resurgence recently thanks to a reboot of the Valiant Universe.

One of the more prominent characters in the Valiant Universe is Bloodshot, and he's getting his own movie! Not only is Bloodshot making the leap to the silver screen, but he's being played by none other than Vin "The Iron Giant" Diesel, and a trailer dropped in October 2019!

Unlike many of the projects featured on this list, there is a confirmed release date for this one. Bloodshot will hit theatres on February 21, 2020, and will begin a cinematic treatment for the Valiant Universe. If the film does well, it could open the doors for a plethora of Valiant properties, which will certainly make a ton of comic book fans happy.
