Comet, also known as Biron, is a pet horse who once belonged to Supergirl. At one point a centaur, he was given a potion to turn him into a human - but it did the reverse and actually turned him into a horse.

The witch who gave him the potion, Circe, was unable to undo the spell, so instead gave him superpowers. These powers are similar to Supergirl's, however it is worth noting he has other powers, such as the ability to communicate telepathically.

Biron was imprisoned in an asteroid in the Sagittarius constellation by a sorcerer and his teacher in Ancient Greek times. He remained there for hundreds of years until Supergirl's rocket broke the force field that imprisoned him and allowed him to make his way to Earth. While on adventures with Supergirl, he encountered another spell that turned him human so long as there was a comet passing through the solar system he is in.

Although he no longer makes appearances in comics, Comet was popular in the 1960s and his popularity earned him a spot in the Legion of Super-Pets.
