3. Doop
Doop served as the cameraman for X-Statix, a team of fame-hungry mutants. Beyond that, not much is known about him.
He (and that is using the term very lightly) has a whole host of powers, including super-strength, a healing factor, an interdimensional void in his body that he uses to store things and a back-up brain in his butt. His origin is that he was either a Cold War superweapon instrumental in the fall of the Soviet Union, the sentient doodle of director Ingmar Bergman or maybe something else entirely.
Despite being a comic-relief character who spends most of his time asleep, Doop has proven himself to be incredibly powerful. He even managed to defeat Thor by swallowing Mjolnir and spitting out hundreds of duplicates.
Doop also showed a sadistic streak as part of X-Statix. When rookie member Corkscrew went insane and killed someone, Doop took him too the woods and psychologically tortured him before killing him.
Doop seemingly died along with the rest of X-Statix, but he later turned up alive as a part of Wolverine's school for young mutants. Doop was hired as a receptionist for the Jean Grey Institute for Higher Learning, but it was just a cover for his real role as the school's secret protector.
