10 Weirdest Comic Book Romances You Won’t Believe

Few lists detailing weird comic romances are complete without at least a brief mention of the fact that, in the Ultimates series, Magneto's children - Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch - are in an explicitly sexual relationship for literally the whole series.

While the entire of Ultimates is weird from start to finish, there's something about having two siblings who are entirely aware of their blood ties become a couple that is just that extra step more awful than everything else. It's made twice as weird by the fact that it appears that every other character in the series knows about the incestuous relationship between the two, and seem completely fine with it, to the extent that the Wasp actually makes fun of Captain America for being grossed out when he discovers that Magneto's progeny are closer than siblings should be.

However, it is worth mentioning that this is all in a universe that is in no way a part of mainstream Marvel continuity, and so any fans of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver can rest easy in the knowledge that their favorite characters merely bumped uglies in an alternate universe - which only ruins them a little.
