10 Wonder Woman Graphic Novels You Must Read Before You Die

1. Gods And Mortals

Wonder Woman Year One Rebirth
DC Comics

Wonder Woman: Gods and Mortals was a seven-issue comic arc written by Greg Potter and Len Wein with illustrations by George PĂ©rez who also worked on the story. This was the first story arc featuring Wonder Woman in her newly-launched series (back in 1987).

In this new telling of Wonder Woman, Princess Diana makes her way to "Man's world" to find and defeat Ares, the God of War.

Unbeknownst to Diana, other enemies are lurking in the shadows intent on deviating her from her goal including the villainous Cheetah, whose goal to own Diana's Lasso of Truth drives her in a relentlessness onslaught against Wonder Woman!

The stories told in this amazing compilation make for some of the greatest Wonder Woman stories ever told. The creative team behind these issues honored the character in a way many artists and writers failed to do prior to the relaunch of the character. What followed was a new Wonder Woman who went on to inspire many of the stories included in this list as well as the film released in 2017.
