10 Wonder Woman Graphic Novels You Must Read Before You Die

9. Who Is Wonder Woman?

Wonder Woman Year One Rebirth
DC Comics

Who is Wonder Woman? was a five-issue story arc written by Allan Heinberg with illustrations provided by Terry and Rachel Dodson. The story was written thanks to the influence of Green Lantern: Rebirth, which saw a renewal of another core DC character.

In Who is Wonder Woman?, Heinberg explores what the nature of that title is all about. After Princess Diana has gone missing, the role of Wonder Woman is taken up by Donna Troy. When Steve Trevor is taken hostage by Giganta, Cheetah, and Dr. Psycho, it's up to Donna to save him, but things take a turn...

Donna is captured and when it comes time to save her, in steps Agent Diana Prince, Princess Diana's latest secret identity. It now falls on the Department of Metahuman Affairs' newest agent, the former Wonder Woman, to rescue the current Wonder Woman in this tale about the very nature of the character and her role in the DC Universe.

The beautifully illustrated compilation consists of Wonder Woman vol. 3, #1–4 and Wonder Woman Annual #1 under the title, Who is Wonder Woman?
