10 Worst Deeds Ever Committed By Darkseid

Being the sister world to Apokolips could not have been fun. Despite being peaceful and serene, New Genesis and its inhabitants had to deal with the constant threat of Apokolips and its evil tyrant Darkseid. They must have known all too well that sooner rather than later, Darkseid would come for them.

This came to pass in the Justice League of America #183. What’s interesting here is that at this point, Darkseid is in fact dead. Of course, that does not stop him from influencing proceedings for the worse.

The various members of the Justice League and the Justice Society were getting ready for an annual meeting when they encountered transmatter portals. After being transported to New Genesis, they make the horrific discovery that most of the populace had been abducted and enslaved by the forces of Apokolips.

With New Genesis pleading for help, the heroes quickly form an alliance and go about trying to thwart whatever sinister plot was being propagated by Apokolips. In the end, it turns out that the real plan was Darkseid’s revival. In other words, this planetary scale destruction was the latter’s doing all along.
