10 Worst Spider-Man Costumes Of All Time

9. Spidercide

During the Clone Saga, The Jackal created a clone of Spider-Man called Ben Reilly AKA The Scarlet Spider. Because readers hated this run, this story arc should've been nipped in the bud as soon as possible.

Instead, the creative team devised another Spider-Man clone. And another. And another. Before you knew it, we had over a dozen Spidey-clones claiming to be the real Spider-Man, making an already convoluted story even more confusing.

Probably the lamest of these clones was the ridiculously-named Spidercide. Even though he is one of the most powerful Spider-clones due to his ability to control his body mass, he came across as another run-of-the-mill supervillain.

Not only that, his attire wasn't great. Spidercide looks like a hybrid of Spider-Man, Deadpool, and Venom. It was like the artists couldn't figure out which character to rip-off so they said, "Screw it!" and mashed all three together. Even though Spidey, Venom, and Deadpool are among the coolest looking Marvel characters, merging them together made Spidercide look generic and forgettable.

If this was the best design Marvel could come up with, they shouldn't have bothered with Spidercide at all.
