Marvel Comics

Yes, all alluded to in our previous entry, Captain America – beacon of hope to the American people and a symbol of all that is right in the world – ended up becoming the head of the villainous organisation that he had spent literal decades fighting.

As part of the whole twist of Steve Rogers having secretly been working for Hydra for, well, ever, readers saw Captain America given the position of top dog of the shiny new Hydra High Council as reformed by Madame Hydra.

After Madame Hydra had filled out the key positions of this new collection of uber-bastards, she had saved the role of Supreme Leader for none other than Steve Rogers. The reason that Madame Hydra had held this position vacant for Rogers? Well, not only had he more than proven himself to be one of the toughest, most intelligent fellas on the planet, but she also happened to have a crush on dreamy ol’ Cap.
