One of the top dogs of the Marvel universe is unquestionably Nicholas Fury, director of the spy organization S.H.I.E.L.D.

Nick Fury is one of Marvel's oldest characters, both in universe and out, and as such, he's been around long enough - and had his fingers in enough pies in that time - to make more than his fair share of huge mistakes.

It only makes sense for a man with the ties Nick Fury has to have a lot in his life to regret. No matter what medium, be it comics or the MCU, if it has a Nick Fury in it, it's eligible for this list.

So, let's take a look and see what keeps the Marvel universe's greatest spy awake at night.

10. Creating The LMDs

This entry sits at the bottom since, for the most part at least, Nick keeps this one to himself, but his creation and mass production of Life Model Decoys - or LMDs - has definitely ruffled more than a few feathers.

The LMDs are almost perfect duplicates of whoever they're modeled after. Now, when Fury first learned about them, he mainly used them to impersonate himself, able to fake his own death when he needs to go off the grid, or trick an enemy into giving up valuable info by thinking he has Fury cornered. But in the past, he's used them to duplicate Thor, Iron Man, and many others.

And that's not even mentioning the shenanigans the LMDs get up to in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where an anti-Inhuman terrorist group gets a hold of a literal army of LMDs and nearly drives all our heroes mad with paranoia that any one of them could be an LMD that replaced the original.

These things are just bad news all around, and Fury should have jettisoned the ones he had long ago.
