One More Day is by far one of the most hated Spider-Man stories there is, and with good reason.

The storyline retconned Peter's considerably long marriage with his romantic partner MJ by having Mephisto - Marvel's very own Devil stand-in - offer to save the dying Aunt May in exchange for letting Mephisto rewrite history so that the pair were never together.

It was all painfully clunky, with it proving painful both to the hero and the reader to have to watch as years and years of happiness sink down the drain because executives wanted to go back to the younger, "fresher" Spider-Man. While time has healed some of those wounds, it's still one of the worst things to have happened to Spider-Man in his sordid history - and that's really saying something, when you think about the guy's past.
