DC’s Elseworlds has got you covered with the limited series ‘Superman: The Dark Side.’ The series followed a timeline where Kal-El was raised by tyrannical ruler and all round bad guy, Darkseid.
In this reality, Darkseid raised Kal to become the ultimate warrior. This Superman, or Star-Child, was raised to wear black and red armour as he obliterated his father’s enemies, primarily the New Gods of Genesis. Just as Kal was destroying the planet of Genesis he learned his true Kryptonian origins and subsequently transported to Earth in search of further answers.
Once on Earth Kal-El met a range of the characters he’d have known in another life including Lois Lane and Lex Luthor. He became amazed by the planet after finding out some New Gods had retreated to Earth and he wished to stay. Kal-El ultimately defied his father who planned to invade Earth. Facing off against him, the Star-Child teamed up with the New Gods and humans to finish Darkseid, so a happy ending all things considered.
