12 Best Redesigns Of Superhero Costumes

7. Hawkeye

Spider-Man Black Suit
Marvel Comics

Including this one was a no-brainer. Hawkeye's original look painted him like a purple Robin Hood, complete with an H on his forehead for "How did I leave the house looking like this?"

Thankfully, one of the few things the Ultimates universe got right was allowing Hawkeye to strip down his look and become more of a spec-ops badass. No more goofy mask, no more Errol Flynn swashbuckler boots. Instead, it was a simple bodysuit - reminiscent of Nightwing - but with bare arms to allow artists to indulge in all sorts of muscle definition for his drawn bow.

Matt Fraction would continue refining this look in the main Marvel continuity during his time writing Hawkeye, and it has all been for the better of the character. Who the hell could take the Purple Pimpernel seriously?
