A constant favourite over the years has been Kurt 'Nightcrawler' Wagner, afflicted with a demonic appearance (including a prehensile tail) as well as the ability to teleport with a fire n' brimstone BAMF noise. Belying his scary appearance, Nightcrawler is a sweet, funny guy with a piratical, swashbuckling flair to him, able to fight with three swords at once if necessary. Alan Cumming's movie portrayal of the character got the gentleness down pat without touching very much on Kurt's obsession with being the mutant Captain Blood, so it's usually the comics version that people choose to cosplay - although none nearly as cutely as this little fella...
