12 Superpowers You Didn’t Know Spider-Man Had

There have been a couple of times that Spider-Man has been gifted the power of the Enigma Force. Both Peter and Miles have had their encounters with the cosmic force, which, among other things, can turn any host into Captain Universe. It's still not fully understood what the force actually is, but it has bonded with many characters over the years, including Laura Kinney, Bruce Banner and even Aunt May.

For Peter Parker, his cosmic pairing came in The Spectacular Spider-Man #158. During a lab experiment, Parker was subjected to a large energy blast when the generator overloaded. Spidey gains multiple new abilities, alongside a huge increase to his regular powers. Once Peter gets accustomed to the new power, he takes down the Tri-Sentinel which Loki has created to destroy New York.

During 2018’s Spider-Geddon, it was Miles Morales’ turn to receive the powers cosmic. In their second battle against the Inheritors, the Spiders need every bit of help they can get. Luckily for them, Miles makes contact with the Enigma Force which choses him as its new host. Miles uses his new found powers to take down the villainous group.
