8. Punisher

There's always going to be a pretty big cool factor in meshing two of the most popular anti-hero characters in comics history together and that proved to be the case in What If... story What If Venom Had Possessed the Punisher. In that story, it was Frank Castle rather than Eddie Brock who ended up being possessed and he uses the Symbiote's powers to further his war on crime.

Completely ignoring the possibly ominous source of the suit, Punisher takes down Kingpin and defeats Spider-Man, Daredevil and Moon Knight but then wrestles control back from the Symbiote by threatening to commit suicide to kill them both if he wasn't given control.

Even Venom listens to Frank Castle and he managed to escape the trio of heroes using the powers of his newly-Punisher-skull-branded black suit.
