12 Worst Superhero Team-Ups Ever

8. The 90s X-Men And The Original Crew Of The Enterprise

Xmen meet the ent In Scott Lobell€™s Star Trek/X-Men crossover, Marvel€™s merry mutants come face to face with Captain Kirk€™s Enterprise crew in a match kind of made in fanboy heaven. You know, if you overlook the significant differences in time, space and universe between the two franchises. But that€™s what worm holes are for! In the comic the Enterprise is doing its thing in space, going where no one has gone before and all that, when suddenly a worm hole opens and Shi€™ar spacecrafts emerge. Gladiator €“ the unabashed Superman copy of the Marvel Universe €“ warns Kirk and his crew to stay away and proceeds to punch the Enterprise.
Turns out the X-Men were stowed away on one of the ships and before it is decimated by Gladiator and his troops, and so begins one of the most pointless team-ups of all time as the X-Men and Enterprise crew join forces to stop Deathbird and her Imperial Guard. Of course that comes after Wolverine is reduced to jobber status in the Starfleet Wrestling Federation by Spock...
And Beast and Bones McCoy share a moment.
Hell, Kirk even tries to put the moves on Jean Grey, right in front of Cyclops. It was total cocaine-induced cheese, and while you€™d think this story would€™ve been stowed away and forgotten like many a peach schnapps-induced one night stand this mind-numbing crossover actually got a sequel...
...and a goddamn 300-page novel.
