13 Fantastic Four Stories & Villains We Could See In MCU Phase 4

5. The Mad Thinker

Doom The Sorceror
Marvel Comics

The Mad Thinker is an evil scientist with an army of cube-headed androids. He's a campy villain, which is why he doesn't appear in the comics as often as he used to.

However, there is an alternative universe where the Mad Thinker has a WAY better backstory. In the comic, Think Tank, Reed Richards' genius was recognised when he was a teenager, allowing him to work in the world's greatest scientific facility, The Baxter Building. However, the Baxter Building benefactors found one person smarter called Rhona Burchill but she was too unstable to be considered.

She was so obsessed with proving she was smarter than Richards that she carved out her brother's brain and attached part of it to hers to magnify her intelligence. Believing no one can understand her except Richards, Burchill became infatuated with him and desperately tried to kill his family so she can have him all by herself.

Burchill is so intelligent, she can make calculations in any field faster than a computer. She is one of the few villains who can outsmart Richards.

A great villain doesn't have to shoot lasers or fly or have a giant army of robots or aliens. As Zemo proved in Captain America: Civil War, some of the best and deadliest villains simply use their mind to battle their enemies.
