Falling Into Destiny Ah yes, the scene we all know too well - whoever he is prior to becoming The Joker, he falls off the scaffolding inside ACE Chemicals and into a vat of unknown substance, thought to be lost forever and dead beyond recognition. However, the man later emerges a maniac, unbeknownst to everyone, and is now the villainous Joker. No matter how many times we see this scene, whether on film or in print, it never loses its importance - this is the birth of arguably the greatest villain in all of comics. The Joker is created, and thus begins his unending, ceaseless quest for revenge against The Batman and his relentless pursuit towards conquering of Gotham City. Another great piece from Snyder and Capullo, accenting Batman's desire to not lose the man at the end of his grip, and another man all too eager to be let go.
