The biggest shocker to come out of Dawn of X was Hickman’s decision to bump one of the dumbest characters in X-Men history up to one of the most important.

Like many, Fabio Medina gained powers after the events of Avengers Vs X-Men. Unfortunately for him, his mutant power was the lamest thing you could ever imagine. He was able to materialise and project golden balls of different sizes from any part of his body.

As if that wasn’t ridiculous enough, the costume made things way worse. Despite being able to produce the balls from various body parts, Medina chose to highlight his chest and mostly uses that one opening. Surely if your power was that lame, you wouldn’t actively make it suck even more by designing that costume.

When Fabio moved to Krakoa, it was revealed that this entire time he had actually been creating eggs, rather than useless orbs. The eggs are used to incubate mutants who are being revived by X and ‘The Five’. Due to the discovery, Medina now goes by the much more stylish ‘Egg’. Sadly, he still looks ridiculous, even with his new role.
