It's not great that DC have a villain called Zebra Man on their roster, but at least he is mostly used for comic relief. Back when he was first introduced though, Zebra Man was no laughing matter.

As Batman and Robin are trying to foil a robbery, they are taken down with ease by a man who is covered in black and white stripes, like a zebra. The new villain managed to find a way to absorb 'lines of force' into his costume, which are then controlled by a bright yellow belt. He could have made the suit a different colour to avoid the comparison, but it seems the villain felt some kind of kinship to the animals.

Having suffered defeat in their last encounter, Batman and Robin track the gang down to the villain's laboratory. During the fight, Robin falls and activates the device that gave Zebra Man power. Batman receives the full force of the machine and finds himself infused with the lines of force as well.

The Bat is unable to control the power, and terrorises the city before facing Zebra Man once again. Third time's the charm and Bruce comes out on top, taking the belt to neutralise the lines of force.
