7. Zombie Clayface

While seeing various heroes become zombies is always fun, there's only so many totally human zombies you can look at before the concept becomes stale.

One concept that is anything but stale, though, is the unfriendly face we are introduced to in DCeased #3, in the form of an infected Clayface. Unlike all the other infected, this particular villain only holds his a vaguely human shape by the effort that he places into holding it - meaning that when the disease takes hold, he loses this shape entirely, becoming a gross mess of clay, teeth and anger.

It's not all that common for zombie media to contain a genuinely creative zombie design - with the most recent exception being the massively popular video game The Last of Us - so this is a completely surprising moment, because it occurs in a comic where you just wouldn't assume they'd put so much effort into clever design choices.
