15 Fantastic Four Villains Who Could Be The Next Big Bad Of The MCU

6. Kang The Conqueror

"When you mess with time, time tends to mess back."

When Tony Stark uttered these words in Avengers: Endgame, many fans assumed that this was foreshadowing for the coming arrival of Kang the Conqueror. Kevin Feige and company love to sprinkle in subtle lines of dialog that are actually huge clues to the MCU future.

Case in point: Ant-Man's Darren Cross said, "Did you think you could stop the future with a heist?"

Nathaniel Richards is known by Kang, Immortus, Iron Lad, and other names depending on where in history he lays his hat. This time traveler from an alternate reality is a descendant of Reed Richards, although a Nathaniel Richards also exists as Reed's father.

Time travel can become convoluted and hopefully the MCU juggles this concept as well as they did in Endgame. Kang almost feels like an inevitability in the next saga and a worthy big bad.

If the events of the second Snap sent the future in a darker direction, Kang's attempts to right the wrongs of the past would make him a sympathetic villain that audiences could get behind.
