While the Scarlet Witch may once again be serving as a member of The Avengers, she spent years as one of their greatest enemies. That wasn't when she was a member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants either; years after becoming an Avenger, a deranged Scarlet Witch used her chaos powers to tear the team apart, leading to a number of casualties including Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and The Vision. As if being responsible for disassembling The Avengers wasn't bad enough, Wanda would later be manipulated into creating a new world by her brother Quicksilver where mutants were the dominant race and The Avengers didn't even exist. Of all the bad guys this team has faced over the years, the Scarlet Witch remains one of the only ones to have destroyed them and inflicted some long lasting casualties.
