Despero wasn't the first villain the Justice League ever faced, but he does have the distinction of appearing in the very first issue of Justice League of America way back in 1960. Like most alien conquerors, this unique looking bad guy has taken aim at Earth on a number of occasions. However, he's proven himself to be a very formidable threat to this assembled group of heroes, thanks in a big way to his psychic abilities.
